Please feel free to let us and others knows how you enjoyed your stay. We’d love to hear from you. Email use as well please as we get a lot of spam so don’t approve the posts often.
Hi, we’ve been busy clearing and have had some great feed back on the improved views from the chalets. Check out the gallery with some new photos. This blog is new, so not sure how it will go , but please feel free to add your comments or suggestions. We’d love to hear from you again.
What an amazing place to have a break with your furry friend. My parents and I and my dog had a lovely four day break staying in a couple of the one bedroom cottages. Everyone was lovely and it was so relaxing just to be able to have the dog of his lead and watching him play with the other dogs. I can also recommend Omata Vineyard for a glass or two.
We came to stay at Wairoro for a week last year around Waitangi Day and had a blast. Jan was a kind gentleman and it was a great pleasure to have met him. We are very sorry to hear that he has passed away and our thoughts are with you.
our deepest condolences,
Alison, Bobby & Jack the dog
I see our comments have disappeared Margo. We had nothing but praise for the Park, and recommend it to everyone, especially doggie people…. would you like me to write them again??? Cheers and have a nice day, Carol Hansen
Wairoro Park is a hidden gem in the Bay of Islands.
The peace and serenity during the ‘silly season’ has
to be experienced to be believed!! Nowt can compare to
the beautiful private beach with the calm inviting water
for kayaking and swimming.
Our two shitzu dogs never stopped playing. They enjoyed
the company of Cleo and Eva, and romped and swam in the
sea. Kayaking has
become another of their hobbies now, and they enjoyed
riding with us to investigate other bays.
We cannot thank Beryl enough for her help and interesting
chats in the evening down on the beach when the sunset is
across the bay.
This is the perfect place for a holiday, and even more so
when one can take their dogs along too.
The “cow shed” had everything one needs…..
so who would want to ask for anything else.
Thank you again Beryl, and also to your family, who made
us both, and our dogs, most welcome. We will return…..

Just back from a winter break at our favourite holiday place! Three nights of fun with our 2 small doggies. We all enjoyed the dinghy ride when we took it out on the mirror-like water in the calm private bay, and looking back on Wairoro Park we listened to the Tuis’ and various other birdlife up in the beautiful bushland. We actually caught some decent schnapper out in the bay, and discarded the ones that were undersize. It was fun all around. The weather lived up to it’s name…. the winterless north!! It was warm and cosy in our Cottage. Looking forward to going back at Christmas time, and again chatting with Beryl over interesting topics. Banjo and Samson, say Hi to Cleo…. “we will be back”….

My nervous shepherd just blossomed. Fun with other dogs, dashes into the sea and complete freedom for the first time in her life. will be back.

We have been inundated with comments (spam actually) so had to do a big clean out. Sorry if you’ve left comments and they have not appeared.
